I might as well embrace that my blog is a random mashup of things, right? I know this isn't beauty related, but I really wanted to share. I recently redid some of my dorm room decorations and my boyfriend had given me some of his unusable military gear-the cover, and he didn't need the dog tags. He also got the name tape made knowing that I would probably want it! However, I found myself with a bunch of these items and didn't know how I was going to display them. A friend of mine gave me the idea to make a shadowbox, which I had never heard of. I found this one at Target for $10 and it took a little work to arrange everything well and adhere the items but I love the way it worked out! For the letter I used glue dots and for everything else I used mounting tape or velcro dots. I wanted to share this for other girls in military relationships or even anyone with keepsakes that they want to be seen instead of just tucked away in a drawer! I hope someone out there can take inspiration from this idea! xoxo, Katie
