My name is Katie Landmesser. I am currently a sophomore at the University of South Carolina and I grew up in the south as well. I am a Fashion Merchandising major (since I realized I could combine marketing with the very thing I love the most) and an Advertising/PR minor. Starting in middle school I decided to teach myself how to do makeup through Youtube videos. Every day I would come home, sit in front of a makeup mirror and copy a look that I found. Sometimes I would do two or three at a time. Ever since then I have loved doing my makeup and doing other people's. I'm not the most artistic person in the traditional sense, but I love everything about beauty products and style. As I've grown up my interest has expanded into personal style. I've spent over a year working in retail, which I talked about a lot in my first posts, and now I am working toward my career! I ultimately want to work in fashion journalism or visual merchandising.

That brings me to my vision for this blog. I want to use it to expand on what I am learning and experiencing in my coursework as well as an outlet for my creativity. My style is very classic and feminine and I hope that I can convey that through my posts. Please comment or tell me what you think because I would love to have more of a blogging community.
